Commodores Note

Sagamore Yacht Club is an active year-round waterfront facility. We are located next to the Town Marina in Theodore Roosevelt Park in Oyster Bay. Our Membership Chairs, Greg Bradley and Kevin Curry, are available to discuss the benefits of membership; there phone numbers are (917) 602-4810 and (917) 881-3933 respectively or Email: For visiting boaters, we have a limited number of moorings available for overnight rental. We offer reciprocity to members of other accredited private yacht clubs.
We offer dining service year-round, with dinner service Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, and lunch/dinner service Sundays. We also offer, on a limited basis, our clubhouse for members to use for private events. The clubhouse includes a bar and fireplace on each of our two floors; the lower and upper decks provide sweeping views of Oyster Bay Harbor and Centre Island, and many members enjoy both the sunrise and sunset vistas they offer.
We are a very active year-round club, as reflected by our membership, which is 60% boat-owners, and 40% non-boaters. For all our boaters, power and sail, we offer convenient launch service as well as a club mooring in Oyster Bay Cove for raft ups. For those sailors interested in racing, whether on their own boat or as crew, we run a fully accredited Wednesday night racing program as well as several distance races. For our younger members, we offer a Junior Sailing program. In winter, we shoot skeet Saturday and Sunday on our waterfront. In addition, in 2016 we will have more than 24 special events, varied to offer a wide-array of options to all members.
Members may get as involved in committees as they choose; there is no minimum requirement for volunteer hours. Many members enjoy the social aspects of working together, and that allows us to keep dues down to surprisingly low levels.
I hope that you do get the opportunity to experience what Sagamore Yacht Club has to offer. If you have any questions, my email address is
